Online Portfolio updated again
On the advice of a good friend I updated the online portfolio again, this time beefing up the game work section. Specifically, the site talking about all that time blissfully wasted making scenarios for Combat Mission and a handful of maps for Counter-Strike.

PirateRadio.com
I put up a quickie site that launches Destiny's Pirate Radio internet broadcasting package. More to come later.

Stills gallery up from Sunday's shooting
Selected stills from the filming of "Umbrella Killa" are now up in a gallery. It confirms the quality of the photography by Dylan Couper, my DOP. Only problems were a lack of light in the party scene for half of it facing away from the lamp. Oh well.

Recovering from the Big Sunday
Now that I've had a few hours sleep I feel okay except for a cold I've acquired over the weekend. I hope no one else was infected but now I have quite a build up of sickness in my throat, lungs and other passages. Never mind. You probably didn't want to know this. Anyway, my hard drives are defragmenting while I'm at work testing Pirate Radio. As soon as I get home, I will begin securing the tape footage onto hard drives and will start making rough edits of the "Hit and Run" music video aka. "Umbrella Killa".

Classic moments from the big sunday shoot.

The last hours of Laika the dog
A rather clinical story reveals that the first animal from Earth in space died within a few hours of panic and overheating. This story almost made me start bawling in the middle of my office.

Ted Rall editorial cartoons
For the longest time I didn't read many editorial cartoons because the ones we get in the two Vancouver papers are pretty tame. But I've begun reading Ted Rall's cartoons because of his outspokeness on Gulf War II and the Bush administration. Rall is very funny.

Updated still more of my online portfolio.

What a day
DONE. Six separate locations. Multiple exterior and interior. A party scene. Night shooting. Three action scenes. 18 castmembers. The day for me began at 6:55am and lasted until 10pm when I clasped hands with Dylan, the director of photography and sent him home. I am wasted. My knees hurt. I stink. My throat is sandpaper. My eyes are seeds. I had a blast. What a day. 1 hour and 12 minutes of footage. I'm going to sleep now.

An important message for my Kast and Krew of Umbrella Killa
If you haven't already, please look at the page for the Kast and Krew of the short to be filmed Sunday.

A radio station in Newfoundland recently flipped from Country to
Top 40.
It's now called HITS FM. To coincide with the flip, a station
vehicle bears the new logo. Of course, when the door slides open on
the van, the station has another new name. This photo is the living nightmare of any radio promotions department.

Web Portfolio section updated
I spent almost all of tonight updating my web portfolio page to include thumbnails and links to screenshots of past and present websites. It really seems like I've been doing this same old job for most of my life but it has only been less than 4 years. Still there are a lot of websites I created. So, take a walk down memory lane with me.

Umbrella movie page updated again.

Battle Royale: The Card Game
Based upon the movie about a class of high schoolers who are given weapons and told to kill each other off, a card game you can play with the whole family!

Fisherman cuts off his arm to survive
No, he didn't eat it. Still, this is hard core. "When my six-year-old tells me: 'It doesn't matter that you've only got one arm - you're here'.
"Now if you heard that from your kids, wouldn't you take a knife and do the same?"

Track down who gave you the flu
The Telegraph points out that a new genetic method used by an American research team to prove that a doctor deliberately gave AIDS to his girlfriend could be used to link any virus to the person who gave it to you, including the flu and the common cold. So eventually someone may sue you for sneezing on them and be able to prove that it was you.

Updated Umbrella Killa page
I've updated the Umbrella Killa page and created a Resource List page.

I love the West Wing! It's just like Star Trek!
I've archived a post I made on Dan Evan's Skate Jesus forum where I waxed on for more than 500 words about how much I like the West Wing because it's just like Star Trek. Everything I said is true and yes, I am a former Star Trek junkie. No, I do not watch Enterprise. Voyager spoiled the whole thing for me.

Umbrella Killa project page
I've created an Umbrella Killa project page so I have a place to put my notes and so members of the cast and crew have a central resource page.

New website design
Obviously, now that you're here you can see my new website design which is my ode to 'technocheese'. This is the faux computery display graphics that you'll see in spy or Tom Clancy-ish movies. The website is still mostly in the old shell but that will change throughout the week.
