I tried to save instant film and all I got was this lousy jacket

Self portrait with Polaroid jacket | FP-100C with 127mm on Polaroid 600SE

This title is tongue in cheek as I've really done little to save instant film except to buy a whole bunch of it and the ability to shoot instant film in two formats on five different cameras.

Aaannnd now I also bought this jacket that ostensibly is being sold by the people who want to bring instant film back. This jacket is being sold by Polapremium with some proceeds presumably going to the Impossible Project people. Touted as actual jackets found in the former Polaroid factory in Enschede, Holland, Polapremium is selling a bunch online. In terms of fashion, I noted in the sarcastic Polaroid Flickr thread about it that it is actually quite cheap for wearing another company's logo. And it is.

I don't have any issues with looking like a nerd. After all, when you see me on the streets of Vancouver you will spot me carrying any number of outdated and outmoded camera equipment, so wearing a Polaroid jacket is no matter. If you squint and miss the logo, you might assume that I'm a gay pride supporter -- and I am, just in spirit. Those Polaroid colours are fabulous and I wish more corporate logos were like that.

I have a medium for sale -- No I don't. I gave it away to a friend. Thanks for looking

When I ordered it I didn't know what size I was so I ordered both large and medium. The medium is now for sale locally to whoever wants to join me in celebrating dead companies.

According to the sizing chart the medium is 62 cm arm, 60cm back. It is a narrow cut. I'm keeping the large.
