Just a tree: 4x5 sheets stored in freezer just fine
This is a shot that I took more than a year ago when I just got the Graphic View I and it's taken all that time to develop.
After I took the shots I hooked up with a new photo friend of mine who had acquired a complicated Jobo machine development system and wanted to try out 4x5 sheet processing. So I left four sheets with him and they promptly went into his freezer, buried under peas and steaks until I asked for them back last week.
In the intervening time I finally got into home development. First black and white, then color, then 4x5 black and white and then 4x5 color. And then I remembered again that I had these first sheets hidden away.
Aside from smelling like freezer, the sheets were perfectly all right. I gave them time to get to room temperature and then when I got a free evening developed them a couple nights ago.
Strangely, these sheets did not have the banding problem I reported earlier. But one sheet that did not turn out at all -- probably didn't actually trip the shutter when I thought I did -- did show the banding problem. It was clear except for the banding. Very strange.
These shots were taken during last summer when the weather was gorgeous. Tonight I'll be at the Vancouver Folk Festival and the weather looks absolutely dreary.
